BoyleSports review: BoyleXtra, Bet Builder limits and racing guarantee

For online accounts in Great Britain, BoyleSports is licensed through Boylesports Enterprise, account number 39469 on the Gambling Commission register, with remote betting, casino, bingo and pool betting licences active since 2014. The register also has Boylesports (UK) Limited, account 3536, which covers the shop side. BoyleSports’ own pages note that other customers are licensed by the Government of Gibraltar and regulated by the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner, so check which entity your terms name.

BoyleXtra and the shops

BoyleXtra is the card that links the shops with the app. After you place a bet in a shop you can log in to the BoyleSports app to track it, and where a bet qualifies the app can offer cash-out, with the money going to your online account or collected in the shop. Cash-out opportunities appear only when a bet qualifies, and there may be none at a given moment.

That connection is a real difference from online-only brands. A bettor who still likes a shop for the Saturday coupon but wants to watch the bet online has a way to do it.

Bet Builder

Bet Builder at BoyleSports is available on selected football matches only. The rules are firm on two points: Bet Builder bets are not available for cash-out, and if one market in the bet is void, the whole Bet Builder is void. A Bet Builder Boost offer exists for customers in the United Kingdom and Ireland, in which you build the bet, apply the boost on the slip, and receive more in cash on a winning boosted bet.

Best Odds Guaranteed

BoyleSports’ support page sets out the guarantee for all UK and Irish horse racing. You take an early or board price, and if the starting price is higher, BoyleSports pays the better one. The exclusions are clear: it covers win and each-way bets only, and ante-post, Tote or pool bets, place-only and in-running bets are out. Free bets, cashed-out bets and voided bets do not qualify. The extra payout is capped at £/€50,000 per day per customer.

The daily cap is higher than at some other bookmakers, which matters mainly to larger stakes.

Live betting and streaming

BoyleSports runs in-play betting with prices that move as a match develops. It has promoted free live streaming for customers, with a Play button next to a streamed event after you sign in, but the page we found refers to the 2022/23 season. Treat streaming as something to check on the live page, not as something we can promise.

The app

The BoyleSports app is needed for BoyleXtra, and the site has a section for downloading apps for mobile and tablet. We did not find the store listing in our searches, so go to the official download section on the site and follow its link.

Payments, support and what we could not confirm

Our searches returned no current list of payment methods, withdrawal times or support contacts for BoyleSports. We prefer to say so than to guess. The account area and the help pages are where those details will be.

How BoyleSports compares with the other bookmakers on the card

BoyleSports is one of six on our card with a general Best Odds Guaranteed promotion, and its £/€50,000 daily cap is the largest of the caps we could read (Ladbrokes publishes £10,000 and William Hill £25,000). It is also the only one with a card, BoyleXtra, that links shop bets to the app. If your betting is mostly online and mostly football, that is less useful than the same money would be with a bookmaker with a cash-out-friendly builder.

A worked example of the daily cap

The cap only matters for large wins. If the guarantee lifts a bet from 4/1 to 8/1 and you stake a thousand pounds, the extra payout is four thousand pounds, well inside the fifty-thousand daily limit. A very large combination of bets in one day would be needed before the cap bit. For most bettors, the exclusions matter more than the cap: a place-only bet, an in-running bet or a cashed-out bet gets no guarantee.

Three things to look up before your first bet

Look at whether you want BoyleXtra, because it needs the app. Look at the streaming section on the live page, since the page we found was from the 2022/23 season. And look at which Bet Builder matches are available, since it is only offered on selected football.

Who BoyleSports suits, and where it falls short

BoyleSports suits a bettor who uses both shops and online and wants the app to follow shop bets. Its racing guarantee has a published daily cap that is generous, with clear exclusions.

The limits: Bet Builder on selected football only, no cash-out on it, a void leg voids the whole bet, and gaps in the published payment and streaming information.
