Ladbrokes review: what the sportsbook offers UK bettors

Ladbrokes is one of the longest-established names in British betting. This review sticks to what the operator’s own pages and the Gambling Commission register state, and says plainly where we found nothing current.

What Ladbrokes is

Ladbrokes is a UK bookmaker with high-street shops and an online sportsbook. Online, it is run by LC International Limited, a company on the Gambling Commission register under account number 54743. The same company also appears there under the trading name Coral, which is worth knowing: the two brands share a licence holder, and the group behind both is Entain.

That shared ownership shows in the product. Features launch on both sites at the same time, and the terms of offers often read alike. If you open an account with both and expect two different experiences, you may be disappointed. The differences are in price, promotions and layout, not in who stands behind the bet.

Sports and markets

Football gets the most prominent space, with a long list of competitions and a live section that lists in-play matches. Horse racing, tennis, golf and the other usual sports are all present. We did not count markets and do not claim a number. What the site shows on a given matchday depends on the fixture, and the quickest test is to open a match you care about and see whether the markets you bet on are there.

Specials appear in their own tab for football. The promotions page also carries offers that change often, such as an early-payout promotion where a team that goes two goals ahead is paid as a winner. That is a promotion with its own terms, not a permanent feature of every bet, so read the conditions before you rely on it.

Bet Builder, including racing

Bet Builder lets you combine several outcomes from one match into a single bet. Ladbrokes offers it before kick-off and in play on football. Entain announced a racing version in 2026 for Ladbrokes and Coral, and Ladbrokes also lists Bet Builder+, which lets a racing selection be combined with other sports markets. Offers attached to Bet Builder carry their own conditions: one football promotion we saw sets a minimum number of selections, a minimum combined price and a stake cap, so the headline is not the whole picture.

The detail that matters most is that racing Bet Builder bets are marked as not eligible for cash-out. If you like the option of settling early, factor that in before you build one.

Cash-out

Cash-out is available on selected bets, before and during events. Ladbrokes says as much itself, and its guides point to accumulators as the place it is most useful: with one leg left to play you can take a partial payout. It is not on every bet and it is not a right. A bet can be unavailable for cash-out at a given moment, and some promotions exclude bets that were cashed out.

Best Odds Guaranteed

Ladbrokes runs Best Odds Guaranteed on win and each-way singles and multiples on UK and Irish horse racing. From the promotion page: it starts at 8am on the day, the extra payout is capped per customer per day, and if Rule 4 applies the payout is calculated after the deduction. Cash-out is not available on a bet that has the guarantee. That makes the choice a real one: either you take an early price and keep the protection, or you keep the option of cashing out.

Our table shows “Yes” for this feature. The page is a promotion, and operators change promotions, so confirm the current terms in the account before the day you plan to use it.

To see what a price move or a withdrawn horse does to a winning bet at Ladbrokes, step through our explainers: how Best Odds Guaranteed pays on a racing bet and how a Rule 4 deduction cuts a winning bet.

The app

There is a Ladbrokes sports betting app for iPhone and Android, published for UK customers. Ladbrokes pages tell you to track accumulators, cash out or remove losing legs from the My Bets area of the app. Store listings differ by country, so make sure you install the UK one, and download from the official store listing.

Rewards and extras

Ladbrokes has a loyalty scheme called Ladbucks, with its own help page explaining how it is earned and redeemed. We have not tested it and do not describe the earn rate. The Grid is a separate section of the site with competitions and offers for customers.

Payments, withdrawals and support: what we could not confirm

We found no current, official list of payment methods and withdrawal times for the Ladbrokes sportsbook. The pages that came up were old. Open the cashier in a registered account to see what is accepted and how long withdrawals take, and expect an identity check before your first withdrawal.

The same goes for contact options and hours. The help centre is the place to look. We are not listing a phone number we could not verify.

How Ladbrokes compares with the other bookmakers on the card

Of the ten bookmakers on our card, six confirm a Best Odds Guaranteed promotion open to customers in general, and Ladbrokes is one of them. It sits with Coral on licence and group, and with Coral, Betfred and William Hill on the 8am start. Where it differs is the cash-out rule: Ladbrokes states that a bet carrying the guarantee cannot be cashed out, and racing Bet Builder bets cannot be cashed out either.

If cash-out matters more to you than the guarantee, the football page sorts the same ten by cash-out. If racing is your main sport, the racing page puts the guarantee first and explains Rule 4 and each-way terms.

A worked example of the guarantee

Say you back a horse with ten pounds to win at an early price of 5/1, and it starts at 8/1. Without the guarantee the bet pays at 5/1, a return of sixty pounds including the stake. With it, the bet is paid at 8/1, a return of ninety pounds. If the horse had started at 4/1 you would still be paid at 5/1, because the guarantee never pays the shorter price. The odds converter shows the same sums in decimal.

Now add Rule 4. If a horse was withdrawn and a deduction of twenty pence in the pound applied, the winnings on that bet fall by a fifth, whichever price it was paid at. The guarantee does not undo the deduction.

Three things to look up before your first bet

First, the conditions of the offer you came for: the qualifying bet, the minimum price and the expiry date. Second, whether the market you bet on can be cashed out, because the list is not the same for every sport. Third, the withdrawal methods and times in the cashier, which we could not confirm from public pages.

Who Ladbrokes suits, and where it falls short

It suits a bettor who wants a large, familiar brand with football and racing under one roof and who is happy to use a Bet Builder. The Best Odds Guaranteed promotion makes it a sensible name for racing, as long as you accept losing cash-out on those bets.

Its limits are the ones every large bookmaker shares: cash-out only on selected bets, restrictions on promotion bets and the habit of changing offers often. Because it shares a licence holder and group with Coral, it adds less choice than two unrelated names would.

Pages this review is based on

This Ladbrokes review draws on 4 pages from Ladbrokes’s own domains and on its Gambling Commission register entry (account 54743), read in October 2026. We did not open an account or place a bet. The terms that apply to a bet are the ones Ladbrokes shows when you place it. Pages read: Ladbrokes promotions, Ladbucks FAQ, Entain: racing Bet Builder, Gambling Commission register: LC International Limited. If a section of this Ladbrokes review says we could not confirm something, we found no clear current statement, and the table shows “Check terms” where that applies.
